USS North Carolina Battleship
We had the opportunity to tour the USS North Carolina Battleship, recently, while on Spring Break. She is a beast of a ship and easily warrants three hours of your devoted attention to explore her every nook & cranny. It was majestic, it was humbling, it was somber, it was more than I anticipated, it was simply awesome. If you happen to be passing through Wilmington, NC , I highly recommend a visit. Here is a small collection of photographs documented while we toured this beauty, or shall I say beast.

The USS Battleship North Carolina was the first newly constructed American battleship to enter service during World War II. She took part in every major naval offensive in the Pacific Theater of Operations; and earned 15 battle stars during World War II.

The USS Battleship North Carolina participated in every major naval offensive in the Pacific region of operations. By the war’s end, she had lost only ten men in action and had 67 wounded. The USS Battleship North Carolina is now a museum ship and memorial located in Wilmington, North Carolina and absolutely worth every second of your time.
